Looking for a Studio Pattern/Sample maker in Beaverton, OR. Should have experience in Pattern Making and sewing and embroidery machine with optitex, flat patterning, and adobe.

Job Title: Product Development Engineer 3- Pattern Maker

Location: WHQ, Beaverton, OR

Duration: 4+ Months


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Studio Pattern/Sample maker is someone who’s is an expert in patternmaking and

sewing. This individual is pro-active, collaborative, safety minded, detailed oriented, and

comfortable trouble shooting, sharing expertise in patternmaking, garment construction

and studio equipment. We need someone who can engineer a pattern specific to designer

vision, cut sew and assemble these samples at a premium level. They participate in

apparel development process with the Product Creation teams. We need someone

who can be agile and work in a fluid creative environment as well as travel for fast-paced

projects as needed.


The Studio Pattern/Sample maker keeps abreast of market trends, understands team

goals, new technologies and consumer needs throughout the development process and

engages appropriately to ensure projects are completed within corporate guidelines and

goals for all facets of product creation.


WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will report to the Senior Manager of Olive St Studio.

The Studio Pattern/Sample maker will collaborate with studio team, design, product

development partners to effectively execute on product development & fit goals

deliverables.


WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science or related field (preferred).
  • Additional product creation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5-10yrs patternmaking and/or sample sewing in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern making, grading, construction materials, costing, manufacturing and quality.
  • Expertise in patternmaking, sewing and garment construction.
  • Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills.
  • Experience interpreting design intent, offering alternative solutions, and acting as a technical resource.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience using Optitex/Gerber, CLO/Browzwear, Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern

Design software highly desired.

  • Proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Support team with SOP development
