What You Do

  • Operate Gerber automated cutting systems to cut upholstery fabrics and materials according to work orders and digital markers.
  • Load and position fabric and materials to ensure efficient, accurate cutting.
  • Review patterns, markers, and layouts to verify proper setup before cutting.
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to meet product specifications.
  • Inspect materials and finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Cut multiple layers of fabric into components such as cushions, pillows, seats, arms, and backs.
  • Prepare and stage materials, confirming correct alignment and orientation prior to cutting.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, and bundling of cut parts to support production flow.
