Job Description:
We're seeking an experienced Merchandise Data Product Manager to drive the strategy and roadmap for merchandising data products that support pricing, promotions, inventory optimization, and product performance. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and data science teams to ensure data solutions deliver measurable business value.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for merchandising data products.
  • Translate business requirements into data, metrics, and reporting requirements.
  • Prioritize and maintain a healthy Agile product backlog.
  • Partner with data engineering and data science teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and operations stakeholders to identify opportunities for business value.
  • Define success metrics and ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support initiatives focused on pricing, promotions, assortment, inventory, and in-stock optimization.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of Product Management experience supporting data products.
  • Strong expertise in retail merchandising and merchandising operations.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into data requirements, metrics, and actionable insights.
  • Experience partnering with data engineering teams to deliver data products.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, and prioritization.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Proven ability to prioritize initiatives that maximize business value.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Exposure to GenAI initiatives or AI-enabled data platforms.
  • Experience partnering with data science teams.
  • Experience improving inventory, pricing, promotional, or merchandising analytics.
