A geography teacher educates students at an elementary school, middle school, high school, or college about physical and cultural elements of geography as well as earth sciences and technology as it relates to the overall subject. As a geography teacher, your job duties include developing or adapting a curriculum, managing the classroom, creating assessments, giving tests and quizzes, assessing grades, and attending faculty meetings and other school events. You may also be responsible for planning field trips and leading students on them to learn more about geography. In this career, you can decide to teach at a public or private school.
