History Course
Position Summary
The School of Liberal Arts & Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach the following course:
HIS 211: Western Civilization to 1500: A survey of Western Civilization from the Ancient Near East through the Renaissance within the broader context of world history. The course highlights the great ancestors of the West: ancient Israel, classical Greece and Rome, and Christian Europe.
Course schedule:
Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:40 pm - 2:55 pm.
August 31-December 18, 2026
Required Education and Experience
Candidates must have a master's degree in history/education/political science or a related field. Teaching experience in Ancient History and Pre Renaissance is required.

Located in Langhorne, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Cairn University exists to educate students to serve Christ in the church, society, and the world as biblically minded, well-educated and professionally competent men and women of character. Students earn bachelor's degrees in various areas including Bible, Education, Music, and Business Administration; and graduate degrees in Business, Divinity, Education, Organizational Leadership, Worship and Music, and Counseling.
