Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute busway thermal testing procedures following UL857 standards
  • Perform test setup and breakdown according to established protocols
  • Maintain accurate test documentation and data collection
  • Assist in equipment calibration checks and basic maintenance
  • Follow laboratory SOPs and safety procedures
  • Maintain organized workspace following 5S principles
  • Support inventory management of test materials and supplies
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate test progress and results to supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab equipment and work areas

Required Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification
  • 1-2 years of testing experience in a laboratory setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with thermal testing or busway/switchgear testing
  • Basic understanding of UL standards
  • Experience with test equipment and data acquisition systems

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and handling heavy equipment using proper PPE and tools
  • Work in various environmental conditions within the laboratory setting

Shift Demands:
  • This position will work closely with the Thermal Laboratory Supervisor to ensure efficient test execution and maintain quality standards during the position will begin on first shift and will then move to second shift after about the first year. Monday - Friday, 4:30pm - 1:00am with overtime as needed.
