Job description

Your role
As a Field Service Manager - East Coast, your mission is to manage all aspects of Field Service support within North America. This includes operation and maintenance of all Atlas Copco Vacuum's equipment, product delivery, installation, and preventative maintenance support in line with customer agreements and expectations. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager.
You will
  • Execute Service strategies and objectives for North America.
  • Manage Field Service safety with improvement plans and customer program participation.
  • Manage supply scope per contract and additional chargeable services.
  • Staff North America with personnel to meet commitments.
  • Manage contract profitability to meet or exceed Field Service Revenue budgets.
  • Identify and report customer value activities beyond contract terms.
  • Monitor customer site performance
  • Assist in negotiating and developing Service contracts.
  • Prepare monthly reports on site metrics, service issues, personnel, delivery, forecasts, and competition.
  • Organize work schedules
  • Manage inventory to prevent financial losses.
To succeed, you will need

You have 3-5 years of experience, working as a field service manager or service manager
  • A mechanical/electro-mechanical engineering background with formal qualifications to a minimum of Degree level education in mechanical, electrical, chemical or physics. A minimum of ten years' experience in an engineering, service or maintenance role involving direct contact with external customers.
  • Strong management experience working in a high focus and dynamic environment with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. Suitable for an individual exhibiting clear potential to succeed at the next level of management
  • Perceives self as a "revenue generator" service person
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Must have proven leadership skills and be able to work within an empowered team framework effectively.
  • Proven ability to conceive and implement operational plans and achieve the goals set out by them
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining poise under pressure.
  • Experience with Rough and Industrial vacuum is desirable, as is experience within relevant aspects of the industrial manufacturing industry.
  • Must have direct hands on experience with VSD drives, PLC and controls. Experience with Atlas Copco's vacuum controls and Elektronikon is a must have.
