About the Role
The Service & Warranty Technician plays a critical role in protecting customer trust, company reputation, and long-term revenue. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and resolving post-installation service and warranty issues while delivering a professional, confident, and solution-oriented homeowner experience.
If you're detail-driven, organized, and take pride in getting it right the first time, this role is for you. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners regarding service and warranty needs
- Provide same-day acknowledgment and responses to customer inquiries- Clearly communicate next steps, timelines, coverage, and scheduling expectations
- Set accurate expectations around warranty scope and follow-up requirements- Perform thorough on-site inspections of service and warranty claims- Identify root causes and determine warranty responsibility (workmanship, manufacturer, or homeowner)
- Capture photos, videos, measurements, and detailed notes for complete documentation- Complete same-day repairs when feasible- Order materials and schedule follow-up visits when needed
- Perform all repairs according to company quality standards and manufacturer specifications
-Submit detailed service notes after each visit, including:-- Issue summary and root cause-- Work completed-- Materials required-- Next steps and timeline-
- Maintain accurate job records, inventory usage, and communication logs
