Weโ€™re seeking a motivated Steel Erection Project Manager to join our leadership team and help drive operational excellence on complex structural steel projects across multiple states.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Steel Erection Project Manager to oversee all aspects of structural steel projects โ€” from pre-construction planning through completion to cost control. This role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate field operations, manage schedules, budgets, and personnel, while ensuring full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Able to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of steel erection projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Develop and track budgets, schedules, and project milestones.
  • Lead and communicate daily with foremen, superintendents, and field crews.
  • Review and approve drawings, change orders, and material submittals.
  • Enforce safety compliance and ensure site-specific safety plans are followed.
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation for internal and client review.
  • Manage manpower allocation, equipment needs, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience in steel erection or structural construction management.
  • Strong understanding of AISC, OSHA, and rigging/lifting procedures.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Procore, and or Construction software.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
