VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Project Manager to support worldwide engineering company in the Troy, MI area. You will take responsibility for leading manufacturing and capital projects from conception through commissioning and ramp up.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Onsite. Contract position expected to last a minimum of 6 months. Possible to go longer
PAY: $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
Requirements of the Project Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related).
  • 5+ years managing manufacturing, plant, or industrial capital projects in an OEM, or engineering-consulting setting.
  • Hands-on ownership of project budgets and schedules on multi-phase projects.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment specification, and commissioning; familiarity with factory planning or digital twin / simulation is a plus.
  • Strong client-facing communication and coordination of distributed, cross-border teams.
  • Working knowledge of AACE Total Cost Management (TCM) preferred structured estimating, cost control, and earned value. AACE credentials (CCP, PSP, EVP, or CEP) or PMP are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.

Duties of the Project Manager:
  • Project Leader for manufacturing and capital projects scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and EH&S coordination from front-end loading through commissioning and ramp-up.
  • Serve as the customer's primary point of contact .
  • Coordinate delivery resources across US, Germany, and engineering teams functioning as a project team.
  • Own project cost and controls estimating, budgeting, cost control, change management, and project P&L across time-and-materials, fixed-fee, and hybrid engagements.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, supporting proposals and identifying follow-on scopes within active accounts.
  • Generate post-project reviews and outcome reporting.
