Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all Distribution Center and Logistics operations, driving service, productivity, cost control, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans, processes, and procedures aligned with company goals.
  • Establish and manage KPIs, performance metrics, budgets, and financial results for Logistics operations.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing management and operations teams across a diverse workforce.
  • Partner cross-functionally with senior leadership, customers, carriers, and internal teams to improve service and margin performance.
  • Lead carrier and customer negotiations while ensuring margin integrity and cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, OSHA requirements, and safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency, and service enhancement.
  • Manage special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned by senior leadership.
  • Travel between locations as needed.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive Logistics/Distribution management experience.
  • Must have previous experience with cold storage logistics.
  • Strong strategic leadership, team development, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven experience managing KPIs, budgets, costs, and operational performance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, WMS, TMS, and transportation technology.
  • Experience with TruckMate, RoadNet, PC*Miler, Qualcomm GPS, load boards, and freight calculation systems preferred.
  • Experience overseeing multiple facilities preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to navigate all areas of a Distribution Center, including varying temperatures.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs., with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
