The Application Foreman is responsible for administering the correct applications of all turf care products to the golf course grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Thorough knowledge of golf course operations practices and procedures as would be acquired through two to three years of similar golf course maintenance experience in progressively responsible positions
  • Working knowledge of golf course operations and practices necessary particularly as it pertains to the storage, mixing and applying of pesticides and fertilizers
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to obtain Nevada Pesticides License
  • Pay Range: $19.25 - $22.25

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Perform all duties and or tasks relative to the Application Technician position
  • Have a valid Certified Applicator's License which is registered in the same state as our golf course operation
  • Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each piece of application equipment.
  • Perform daily tasks which are required to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized and a safe working environment
  • Clean applications equipment after each use
  • Inspect all application equipment and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Manager.
  • Perform all functions relative to the applications activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II
  • Record and maintain all product application records and maintain files for product labels and MSDS sheets.
  • Establish and maintain all inventory levels of all turf care products
  • Keep all applications equipment properly calibrated and in good working condition
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations in regards to turf care product use, storage, cleanup, disposal, spill containment, mixing and loading, application, and safety requirements. Follow all internal policies and procedures
  • Read, understand and interpret product labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for each product used in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations
  • Required to wear, as well as ensuring staff assisting in the application process wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards and as required by the product label
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
