Solar Hourly Laborer-Operator
I. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide various general labor duties in the field on Solar job site projects, including but not limited to: PV Installer, Helper, General Labor, Quality Control.
II. GENERAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Clearing debris, preparing the area for installation, and potentially laying out equipment
• Keeping the work site clean and organized.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and potentially experience with basic wiring.
• Operate hand tools including, but not limited to: Tape measure, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders and rakes
• Assisting with the assembly and installation of solar panels, racking systems, and other components.
• May perform as a Millwright, Solar PV Installer or Quality Control Helper.
• May operate PD10, Skid Steer and/or Excavator
• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to co-workers
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude
• Must have reliable transportation
• Extended hours of work may occur, with a single shift lasting as long as 12 hours
• Full-time employment required.
• Overtime and work on weekends and holidays may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
III. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience or training. Some high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
