Account Executive

Strategic Employment

Washington, DC • Remote

Full-time

Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a Mid-Market Account Executive to own a Mid-Atlantic or Southeast sales territory for a fast-growing construction technology company. You'll run the full sales cycle — outbound prospecting, demos, and closing — selling software that solves a problem nearly every general contractor and specialty contractor deals with every day. This is a fully remote role, and candidates must be based in the Eastern or Central time zone.

About the Firm

This is a venture-backed, Series B software company building the industry's leading platform for a specific and painful construction workflow. They work with some of the largest general contractors in North America and are scaling their go-to-market team quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage your own territory of construction companies across the Mid-Atlantic or Southeast
  • Run outbound prospecting, qualification, demos, and negotiations independently, owning the deal from first touch to signed contract
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product, the industry problem it solves, and the competitive landscape
  • Consistently hit monthly and quarterly sales activity and revenue targets
  • Build territory and account plans to create a strong, sustainable pipeline

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role at a general contractor or mid-market specialty commercial contractor
  • Direct, hands-on experience with construction change order management
  • Must be based in the Eastern or Central time zone
  • A hunter mentality, a consultative sales style, and genuine interest in moving into a sales career
  • Comfortable connecting with stakeholders at every level, from field teams to executives

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission
  • Fully remote flexibility
  • Equity in a fast-growing, well-funded company
  • The chance to sell into an industry you already know firsthand, with a product built specifically for that industry's biggest pain point
