Summary

An established and growing general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. The company delivers a diverse portfolio of ground-up, renovation, and tenant improvement projects across manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, semiconductor, multifamily, office, and commercial markets.

This role is ideal for a Project Manager with a strong general contracting background who can take ownership of projects, manage multiple priorities, and work closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, clients, and design teams to maintain schedule, budget, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract administration, and scope coordination
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field personnel throughout construction
  • Work closely with Superintendents to maintain schedules and resolve field challenges
  • Track job costs, commitments, billing, and overall project financial performance
  • Lead owner, architect, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
  • Identify project risks and proactively resolve schedule, cost, and coordination issues
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Oversee punch lists, warranties, turnover documentation, and final project closeout
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor or construction manager
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction and/or major renovation projects
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, semiconductor, multifamily, office, commercial, or tenant improvement projects preferred
  • Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration
  • Experience managing subcontractor buyout, change orders, and project financials
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management platforms preferred
