Cedarville Engineering Group, LLC (CEG) is a civil and environmental design-build firm focused on delivering complex infrastructure projects for public sector clients, with the majority of our work supporting the United States federal government—particularly the Department of Defense. We specialize in planning, designing, and constructing infrastructure that protects the environment, strengthens mission-critical facilities, and improves public systems. CEG operates from offices in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and Tampa, Florida, and this position will be based in one of those locations depending on candidate preference and company needs.

CEG is seeking a driven, field-focused Construction Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through final closeout. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands the realities of construction execution, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is accountable for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

What You’ll Do:

Construction amp; Project Execution

  • Lead construction projects from mobilization through closeout, ensuring successful field execution
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, work plans, and construction timelines
  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring alignment with scope, specifications, and contract requirements
  • Coordinate closely with superintendents, field staff, and subcontractors to drive progress

Field Operations amp; Coordination

  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient performance
  • Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance
  • Resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays quickly to maintain project momentum

Client amp; Government Interface

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including federal and Department of Defense representatives
  • Maintain strong communication with contracting officers, inspectors, and stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and performance

Quality, Safety amp; Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, including OSHA and site-specific requirements
  • Ensure all construction meets quality control standards and complies with federal contracts and regulations
  • Support QA/QC processes, inspections, and documentation requirements

Budget amp; Risk Management

  • Track project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial performance
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns
  • Prepare and present project reports, including schedule updates, cost tracking, and risk assessments
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and present findings clearly
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels
Preferred Experience amp; Credentials
  • Experience working on federal government or Department of Defense projects is highly desirable
  • Project Management training or certification (PMP or similar)
  • OSHA 10, 30, and/or 40-hour certification
  • USACE QA/QC certification
  • Professional certifications such as PE, PG, PMP, or similar are strongly encouraged
Compensation amp; Benefits
