Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Government Contracting Assistant to support daily operations related to government contract administration. The ideal candidate will assist with order processing, RFQ (Request for Quote) processing, shipping coordination, and accurate data entry while ensuring compliance with government contracting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Review, prepare, and submit RFQs (Requests for Quotes).
  • Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers and vendors.
  • Coordinate shipping, tracking, and delivery of products.
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packing lists.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer, vendor, and order information in company databases.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records for government contracts.
  • Verify pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate professionally with government agencies, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Assist with contract documentation and ensure compliance with company and government procedures.
  • Support inventory tracking and order reconciliation.
  • Perform general administrative and office support duties as assigned.

Qualifications - **Must be a U.S citizen**

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in order processing, data entry, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Experience with government contracting or federal procurement is preferred but not required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or order management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Veteran / military experience / military procurement experience preferred, but not required.
