JOB SUMMARY:Generac is a public company with headquarterslocatedin Waukesha, WI. Generac manufactures a wide range of products in the marketplace including portable, residential,commercialand industrial generators. The internship programprovides an opportunity for studentsseekingto work in the manufacturing field.Generac is looking for anenergetic and hard-working studentto join ourcompany with internship opportunities in various departments.

As an intern, youwill gain hands-on experience in various supply chain functions while networking within a dynamic, people focused environment.The position will interact with various suppliers, internal customers, and analysts on a daily basis while improving processes and execution across a growing, global organization.

You areresponsible for a number of diverse functions within the organization. While upholding a primary focus on sourcing, supplier management, and supplier development, the groupis responsible formaintainingan agile and aggressive supply base whileprocuringhigh quality goods at a fair and competitive price.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in abachelor's degreeprogram: Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related

  • The ability to work 15-20 hours during the school year and full-time during school breaks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Office Suiteproficient

  • Previousworking or volunteer experience

  • Involvement and leadership in extra-curricular campus activities or non-profit organizations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Analysis of organizational spend;

  • Collection of Market Intelligence Data;

  • Development of comprehensive request for proposals,analysisand reporting of benchmarking information;

  • Participation in weekly and monthly organizational meetings;

  • Preparation and organization of power point presentations;

  • Review and development of process documentation asadvisedby cross-functional teams;

  • Record and audit reported savings and total cost of ownership;

  • Help obtain/process record retention documents;

  • Aid in material management escalations;

  • Aid in Supplier Strategy Development;

  • Development of Supplier Directory and other compliance/analyst related responsibilities;

Other Duties as assigned.
