What is a Generac internship?

Generac internships are temporary positions offered by Generac Power Systems, typically to college students or recent graduates, that provide hands-on experience in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, marketing, finance, and more. These internships are designed to give participants practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional networking opportunities while working on real projects alongside experienced professionals. Generac internships generally take place over the summer and may lead to full-time job opportunities upon graduation.

What do Generac interns do?

As a Generac intern, you can expect to work on real-world projects that directly support the company's engineering, manufacturing, or business operations, depending on your area of study. Interns are typically assigned to collaborative teams and paired with mentors, allowing them to learn from experienced professionals while contributing valuable work. Responsibilities often include assisting with ongoing projects, conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting findings to leadership. Generac places a strong emphasis on professional development and team integration, so interns are encouraged to participate in meetings, team-building events, and networking sessions throughout their internship.

Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability are standout soft skills that help interns integrate into cross-functional teams and contribute effectively.
