GENERAL MANAGER – BOUTIQUE BISTRO, WINERY & EVENTS VENUE

Senior Executive Leadership Opportunity | Near Covington, Virginia

Position Overview

A highly anticipated Boutique Bistro, Winery & Events Venue is seeking an exceptional General Manager to spearhead development, opening, and ongoing success. This senior leader will oversee all operational, financial, culinary, wine, staffing, and event functions while partnering with ownership on concept development, design input, and pre-opening execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Full P&L responsibility including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost controls, revenue growth, and profitability.
• Lead all pre-opening planning and opening execution activities from concept through launch.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop the entire team including operations managers, chefs, supervisors, event leaders, FOH and BOH staff.
• Establish SOPs, service standards, training programs, and operational systems.
• Oversee culinary, beverage, wine, winery hospitality, and event operations.
• Drive guest satisfaction, team culture, accountability, and financial performance.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive hospitality leadership experience.
• Proven success opening restaurants, event venues, or hospitality concepts from the ground up.
• Extensive experience hiring and developing complete hospitality teams.
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated P&L management experience.
• Experience leading boutique bistro, chef-driven, eclectic menu, winery, or event-focused concepts preferred.
• Wine knowledge and winery hospitality experience strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $120,000–$150,000 plus incentives. Comprehensive health coverage, generous PTO, vacation, relocation assistance, short-term housing assistance, and career growth opportunities.
