Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 1st piece inspection and sample inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct functional testing and size verification of gears using precision measuring instruments.
  • Carry out visual inspections to detect surface defects or irregularities.
  • Utilize calipers, micrometers, gages, and basic Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for accurate measurements.
  • Apply basic shop math and geometry principles to interpret drawings and measurement data.
  • Understand and work within tight tolerances to ensure product quality.
  • Operate vari-roll testing fixtures to assess gear performance and functionality.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate findings to production and quality teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with 1st piece and sample inspection processes.
  • Proficient in functional testing and size verification techniques.
  • Strong visual inspection skills with attention to detail.
