Job description

Join the travel team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images used by physicians to diagnose and manage patient care. This opportunity is located in Omaha, NE at a hospital facility.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current national sonography certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Required specialty: RDMS in OB/GYN.
  • Must have Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) experience, including detailed anatomic surveys and fetal echocardiography experience. Preferred: fetal echo (FE) credential or experience.
  • Experience performing complex obstetrical studies: fetal echocardiogram, biophysical profile (BPP), fetal growth assessments, umbilical artery Dopplers, transvaginal first trimester scans, and ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis.
  • Comfortable working with GE Voluson platforms (E10 and Expert 22) and charting in Viewpoint and Epic systems.
  • BLS certification (AHA) required.
  • Ability to manage a restricted daily volume of complex scans (limit of approximately 10 studies per day; emphasis on quality of detailed exams).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer preferred.
  • Preferred: RDMS in OB/GYN and prior experience reporting to or collaborating with in-house MFM providers. Preferred: familiarity with fetal echo protocols.

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Shift details: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 07:30โ€“17:00; Wednesday 07:30โ€“12:30. General departmental shift pattern noted as days 07:00โ€“12:00 for some coverage.
  • Orientation: 12 hours.
  • Clinical charting systems: Viewpoint and Epic.
  • Equipment: GE Voluson E10 and Expert 22.
  • Float: N/A.
  • Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage: not required.
