Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician, TX

Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Role Type: Full Time

Work Location: Field Remote Austin/Round Rock, TX

Working Hours: The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Weekly hours will vary depending on business needs.

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will maintain the day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for maintaining all equipment including HVAC, food and hot/cold beverage equipment, cooking equipment, coolers, etc. in Refuel Operating Company. This job was established for the purpose/s of providing services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs, installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all equipment, assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available while working at locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the completion of all maintenance services requests as assigned.

Diagnose cause of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, cooking, and other store equipment.

Inspects HVAC and cooler systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.)

Maintains vehicle, tools, and equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance as needed.

Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc..)

Repairs food and hot/cold beverage equipment, heating, air conditioning, coolers, stoves, ovens, steam tables, and other systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.).

Requests equipment and supplies for maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.

Work within expense limits established.

Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".

Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.

Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.

Monitor and maintain all locations as assigned.

Responsible for alerting the stores Area Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur.

Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.

Adhere to the Company's established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:

General retail or residential maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical.

  • Experience with food and hot/cold beverage equipment.

Education and Experience: An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

2 years' experience in retail or residential maintenance

Working environment and physical requirements:

Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and or 10/20 pounds of force constantly.

Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.

Travel:

Must be able to frequently travel to all locations within the district.

Additional travel up to 20%.
