Job description

Grossenburg Implement is seeking a full-time Polaris Technician to support customers through the timely repair of their Polaris Side by Side and / or Polaris UTV, John Deere Gators, and lawnmowers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform duties per repair order with efficiency and accuracy. This may include but is not limited to the repair of systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
  • Test components and systems using necessary test drives, diagnostic tools, and special service equipment.
  • Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Manager/Service Clerk regarding the vehicle's status and any additional needs. If additional repairs are needed, provide an estimate of the time needed for those repairs.
  • Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed or needed.
  • Account for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties
  • Explain mechanical diagnosis / required repairs in non-technical terms to service clerk & customers
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Accessory installations
  • May perform used vehicle evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area following prescribed safety regulations.
  • Continually learn new technical information & techniques by completing online and in-class training per manufacturer guidelines. This training is provided by the company.
  • Other duties may be assigned according to skill level and certification

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical background with a desire to continue learning
  • Previous experience with ATVs and Side by Sides
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong skills in teamwork and communication
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to be prompt and courteous
