As a Quality Process Improvement Engineer, you will serve as a quality leader responsible for driving SCR/PQR reduction and improving overall product quality. This role leads technical analysis, autopsies, and resolution activities, while acting as the subject matter expert in in-house testing methods, including test loops, EOLI testing, and process auditing. You will support CIB activities to ensure engineering and business changes do not negatively impact product quality or SCR/PQR metrics. As the technical owner for the assigned production area, you will lead troubleshooting, implement corrective actions, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include ensuring robust quality planning through MCP development and maintenance, and partnering with Supplier Quality, Technology, and Sourcing teams to identify root causes and resolve design and process defects. This position offers hands-on engineering responsibility and the opportunity to influence production quality, performance, and support new product introductions.

How You'll Create Possibilities
  • Lead SCR/PQR reduction initiatives and drive overall product quality improvements
  • Conduct technical analysis, autopsies, and resolution of quality issues
  • Serve as subject matter expert in in-house testing (test loops, EOLI testing, process auditing)
  • Support CIB activities to ensure no negative impact on product quality or SCR/PQR
  • Act as technical owner for the assigned production area
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement corrective actions to improve quality
  • Develop and maintain MCPs to ensure effective quality planning
  • Resolve design and process defects through structured problem-solving
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) with quality-focused oversight
  • Influence and improve production quality performance
  • Perform associated and other duties as required.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment, including experience with ISO quality procedures (including co-ops and internships)
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting high-volume manufacturing equipment
  • Skilled in various measurement and gauging techniques
  • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills - PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, GE Systems, etc
  • Quality Engineering Experience - In-depth technical problem solving and data analysis
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified - Blackbelt a plus
  • Lean Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Effective Integration Skills
