Year(s) of Experience
Must have at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Licensed to practice in Michigan as a dental hygienist and meet other applicable state requirements.
At least 2 years’ experience as a dental hygienist providing prophylaxis, sterilization processes and taking X-rays.
Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours including occasional weekends, holidays, or irregular hours.
Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License, current automobile insurance, and the use of a personal vehicle during work hours. Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.
Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and co-workers
Keyboarding and computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, electronic
medical/health records, and database management.
Essential Physical Demands:
- Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Hearing – Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
- Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
- Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
- Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
