Crouse Hospital is located in Syracuse, New York Crouse Hospital offers a variety of cases and sites, centrally located within a one block radius from one another. Crouse includes the main hospital, and 3 ASCs. You will find a collegial anesthesia environment as well as supportive working relationships with the surgeons and OR staff. Excellent Anesthesia Tech support and Pre-Op Testing Center. Syracuse is a medium-sized metropolitan area with restaurants, events, shopping, bars, and more. Outdoor lovers will enjoy nearby boating and fishing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and golf. Short drive to the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, and Finger Lakes wine region. Major universities such as Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
