Job description

Carolina Poly, Inc. in Chester, SC, is currently seeking Gate Attendants to join our team. Carolina Poly produces several lines of polyethylene products including high-quality trash bags and construction films. Carolina Poly is a new facility that is part of an established nationwide manufacturing company that can provide growth and advancement opportunities.

Gate Attendants work a yearly set schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off with 12 hour shifts.  The days of the week worked will rotate from week to week.  Candidates must be available to work each day of the week.


Responsibilities

  • Patrol grounds both on foot and in a vehicle.
  • Patrol inside the office and factory floor.
  • Ensure access points are locked at specified times.
  • Contact police or fire departments in event of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Provide coverage for other grounds attendants as needed.
  • Complete daily report.
  • Communicate with your relief to ensure smooth shift transition.
  • Assist in the gatehouse as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent communications skills, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • At least six months' experience in a security role preferred.
  • The ability to work a night shift or a day shift as assigned by management.
  • The aptitude and desire necessary to be a good student of Carolina Poly procedures.
  • Individual must be able to operate a motor vehicle on the property
  • Individual should possess excellent communication skills.
  • Individual should possess strong computer skills
