Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a Gate Attendant. Below are the main responsibilities for this position.  

(This description may not include all duties required of this position)

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manage access gates on a large construction site to allow entrance or exit for deliveries
  • Direct deliveries to appropriate area on the construction site
  • Maintain a predefined (printed/electronic) daily delivery schedule
  • Follow safety and site procedures
  • Coordinate flow of pedestrian foot traffic and construction traffic

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
  • 1-2 years security/gate keeping experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Punctual, dependable and trustworthy

Physical Requirements:

  •  Able to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Able to open and close rolling gates
  • Able to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Withstand for long periods of time, noise, fumes, etc. associated with construction sites
  • Able to work in all types of weather (including exposure to extremes of hot and cold) and in all kinds of work environments
