Job description

Our gate automation division is growing and we are seeking an additional Gate Operator Installer & Service Tech to join our team! You will be responsible for installing and repairing of new and existing gate operators on gates that we install and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair, install, and adjust industrial gate operators. Including stand-alone keypads, strobe detectors, photo eyes, & other accessories.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fencing, gates, and/or security trades.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload

We install mostly commercial electromechanical units by Liftmaster and HySecurity. Periodically installs and service on hydraulic systems by HySecurity and other crash barriers will be required. Low voltage systems are limited to loop detectors (saw cutting & loop wire install is by another sub), photo eyes, strobe detectors, and basic stand-alone access controls (keypads & intercoms). Security system tie-ins and programming will rarely be required.

Jobsites are located throughout the state of Arizona but mostly occur in the Phoenix metro area. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications and will can be negotiated per candidate. Company will provide service truck and all major tools required. Minor hand tools will need to be provided by the candidate.

Pay is hourly and current techs average 50+ hours weekly. Overtime is paid on hours above 40 per week. Pay is weekly on Fridays for the previous week.
