Job Title: Gate Attendant
Reports to: Gate Supervisor
Classification: Regular, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Summary: The Gate Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service to guests, agencies, and staff at assigned gatehouses or kiosks. The Gate Attendant position is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of cash and credit transactions at the gate/kiosk locations. The Gate Attendant will check in all guest reservations and day-use visitations, greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner, and effectively communicate knowledge of Park Rules/Regulations, services and features to all guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Serves customers in a friendly, courteous manner and sets a good example for visitors and fellow employees.
โ€ข Operates cash register and processes credit and debit card transactions.
โ€ข Checks in all guest reservations and day-use visitations.
โ€ข Answers phones and helps guests make reservations.
โ€ข Effectively communicates knowledge of Park Rules/Regulations, services and features to all guests.
โ€ข Maintains a clean and orderly gatehouse/kiosk.
โ€ข Assists with other related tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข Must be at least 18 years of age (21 to drive) and have access to reliable transportation.
โ€ข One year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
โ€ข Excellent customer service skills.
โ€ข Strong organizational and time management skills.
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Available for duty during weekends, holidays, and peak visitation periods. Weekly work schedules will be worked out with local management.
โ€ข Strong customer service skills; enjoys working in an environment of extensive public contact.
โ€ข Possesses a genuine concern for guestsโ€™ experience and enjoys frequent interaction with the public.
