POSITION SUMMARYThe Gate Attendant is responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the property or worksite, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and vehicles. This position involves greeting visitors, verifying credentials, maintaining entry logs, and providing excellent customer service while enforcing company policies and procedures.Role and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control entry and exit at the assigned gate or access point.
  • Verify identification, permits, badges, or credentials for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing vehicles, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Communicate with supervisors or security personnel regarding unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
  • Direct visitors, vendors, and deliveries to the appropriate locations.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and security procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections of gates, barriers, and surrounding areas.
  • Respond professionally to questions, concerns, or emergencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred; experience may substitute for education.
