Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to oversee our c-store operations. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for working directly with your Store Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, maintain customer satisfaction, and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Manager in overseeing business operations
  • Supervise and manage a team of Customer Service Associates
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to staff to ensure excellent customer service
  • Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction, addressing concerns and resolving issues
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure high standards of cleanliness
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance to ensure efficient operations
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with Store Manager, Marketing Manager, and vendors to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the c-store industry
  • HS diploma or equivalent; degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to visit multiple locations as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks, responsibilities, and urgencies simultaneously
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in a retail gas station setting, in varying weather conditions when outdoors, which may include snow, rain, excessive heat and cold.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
