Job description

Position Summary
The Cylinder Filler is responsible for safely handling andfilling gas products into liquid, medical and high-pressure gas cylinders incompliance with federal, state, local regulations, and meeting The Company'sstandard operating procedures. This position reports directly to the ProductionManager or Operations Manager.
EssentialFunctions
Fills all gascylinders, high and low pressure, and liquid containers in accordance withsafety procedures, quality
Understandshazards of various gases, size and contents of cylinders by reading andinterpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Accurately labelscylinders.
Comply withsafety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which areapplicable to this position's responsibilities
Movement ofcylinders as required in the plant. May be required to load and unload trucks.
Completes alldocumentation and forms in compliance with company policy and FDA requirementsduring the fill process. Accurately and legibly ensures products are labeledproperly, with current decals and lot numbers. Forms include daily productionreport, FDA log sheet, Label Verification form, Calibration form and Bulk logsheet.
Tests all gasesand documents results on compression log report accurately and legibly
Complies with allgovernment and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardousmaterials/cylinder gases.
Maintains a neat,clean and orderly workplace through proper housekeeping procedures
Monitors andmaintains sufficient stock to meet customer demand
Monitorsinventory of empty cylinders prepared and ready for filling.
May be requiredto maintain cylinders and repair filling equipment, such as pigtails, fillhoses, valves and safeties.
Sets tone foremployees by good example through observation of the company's loss preventionpolicies and procedures.
Adheres to allquality assurance policies and standards
Reports accidentsincluding near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obeys safety rules.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
WorkExperience
Preferred knowledge/experience in gas, welding, and safetysupply industry or chemical industry
1-3 years experience in gas/welding industr4y as a warehouseworker or a driver

Excellentcustomer service skills
Strong verbal andwritten communication skills
Strong level ofattention to detail.
Ability to readand comprehend material safety data sheets.
Ability to workindependently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Able to workflexible hours (within 2-3 hours of starting and quitting times).
