Job description

Overview
We are seeking a Level II Compressor Station Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of natural gas compression equipment at field facilities in the Permian Basin. This position is responsible for monitoring compressor performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and assisting with routine maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, mechanically inclined, and safety-focused, with experience in natural gas compression, production operations, or industrial mechanical systems
Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and related processing equipment.
  • Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal pressure, flow rates, and efficiency.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and operational checks.
  • Record equipment readings and monitor system performance to identify abnormalities.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist maintenance personnel with repairs.
  • Troubleshoot compressors, engines, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Identify mechanical, process, or instrumentation issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure safe work practices are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate daily operating logs and maintenance records.
  • Document operating data, inspections, and safety checks.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or operational deviations.
  • Utilize digital reporting systems and field data tools.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in natural gas compression, oil & gas operations, or industrial mechanical maintenance required.
  • Experience working with rotating equipment, compressors, or production facility equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity withinstrumentation and process control systems is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, bending, and standing
  • Must be able to wear requiredPPE
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, fit for duty, agility
