Job description

Description
  • Operate and monitor oil and gas production facilities, including gas lift systems, ESPs, three-phase separators, compressors, pipelines, and associated production equipment.
  • Perform daily rounds, record operating data, monitor equipment performance, and identify issues that could impact production.
  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities on valves, pumps, rotating equipment, and other production assets.
  • Issue work permits, initiate maintenance work requests, and follow established operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate action to maximize uptime and production efficiency.
  • Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and field support teams to gather operational data and coordinate field activities.
  • Optimize chemical injection rates based on production trends and operating conditions, including corrosion, paraffin, and scale control programs.
  • Collect and maintain compressor performance and test data.
  • Conduct fluid level surveys using an echo meter and interpret results as needed.
  • Support other operators and field personnel to ensure safe and efficient daily operations.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of production operations experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment, operating procedures, and common field terminology.
  • Experience with gas lift systems, ESPs, compression equipment, and production facilities is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine operating issues and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently on a rotating 7-on/7-off night schedule.
