Position Summary

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in supporting the culinary and operations teams at 12th Street Catering Headquarters. This position ensures that all kitchen equipment, dishes, and work areas are clean, sanitized, and organized to support high-volume catering production and event execution. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Operate commercial dishwashing machines safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all items meet health department sanitation standards

Kitchen Support

  • Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed (trash removal, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces)
  • Break down and clean workstations, prep areas, and kitchen floors
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff during prep and breakdown periods

Organization & Storage

  • Properly organize clean dishes, equipment, and supplies in designated storage areas
  • Assist with maintaining clean dish rooms, shelving, and storage spaces

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
