POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) plays a critical role in supporting the development and execution of brand strategies and marketing plans. This role is responsible for business performance tracking, budget management, and cross-functional coordination to drive brand growth and operational excellence. The ABM will collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Finance, R&D, Regulatory, and Consumer Insights, and will gain exposure to all facets of brand management including innovation, renovation, and go-to-market execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of annual brand plans and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze brand and category performance using syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and consumer behavior to inform strategy.
  • Lead monthly business reviews and performance tracking.
  • Manage brand budgets including purchase orders, invoice tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate P&L management and forecasting.
  • Track coupon programs, redemptions, and financial deliverables.
  • Coordinate execution of marketing programs including digital, shopper, and promotional tactics.
  • Support packaging updates, new item setup, and product lifecycle management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of marketing assets and product launches.
  • Serve as a liaison between Marketing and internal teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Legal, Regulatory, and R&D.
  • Support customer marketing initiatives and sales communication development.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in brand marketing or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in branded CPG industry strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with syndicated data tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for learning and growth.
  • Interest in health & wellness is a plus.

This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate's geographic location. Strong preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey. 

The approximate pay range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
