Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Automation to join our Game Technology team. This role is part of the approved 2026 Automation headcount and is critical to delivering key initiatives across our automation roadmap, including CI/CD foundation, DevOps enablement, cloud support, and the Ascent build process.

This position is essential to maintaining momentum on high-impact projects and ensuring the continued scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our build, release, and automation processes. Without this role, the team faces delays in delivering critical capabilities that support game development and testing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and efficient build and release processes across game development teams
  • Drive DevOps best practices, enabling automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement across development and operational workflows
  • Support and enhance cloud-based automation infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for build and deployment systems
  • Contribute to and evolve the Ascent build process, improving speed, stability, and usability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Game Test teams, build coordinators, and product teams (including MForce and Northstar) to align automation solutions with business needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build, release, and automation issues, ensuring minimal disruption to development timelines
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives, strengthening team capability and resilience
  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and modernization of existing processes


Impact:

This role fills a critical gap left by a highly impactful team member who was instrumental in CI/CD, DevOps, and build/release processes. Beyond backfilling capability, this position provides an opportunity to expand and mature our automation software development practice.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:

  • Enabling on-time delivery of the Automation roadmap
  • Supporting mission-critical build and release operations
  • Strengthening integration with Game Test and platform product teams
  • Advancing overall engineering efficiency and innovation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Strong background in DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience with build systems and release management
  • Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, C#)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills 


Preferred:

  • Experience supporting game development pipelines or build systems
  • Familiarity with MForce, Northstar, or similar product ecosystems
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and Game Test integration
  • Experience working with distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders
