Job description

THE COMPANY
KRAFTON is dedicated to identifying and publishing games worldwide that offer a uniquely enjoyable experience, crafted by our globally recognized production studios known for their distinctive creativity. We continuously push the boundaries of gaming enjoyment by embracing new challenges and technologies and expanding our platforms and services to captivate an even larger fan base. Best known for the genre-defining worldwide sensation PUBG: Battlegrounds, our stellar studios based across the globe include PUBG Studios, Striking Distance Studios, Unknown Worlds, Bluehole Studio, RisingWings and more. In collaboration with our passionate and driven team, we strive to establish ourselves as a renowned creator of masterpieces in the global gaming market.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Krafton's Publishing Platform Division (PPD) builds the data infrastructure and analytics services that power game studios across North America and Korea. As a Game Data Analyst on the NA team, you'll sit at the intersection of game development, product analytics, and cross-regional collaboration - serving as the analytical backbone for our NA studios while working hand-in-hand with PPD's central team in Seoul.
You will define and standardize event taxonomies through our in-house central SDK, build data pipelines and reporting layers, and ensure studios and publishing stakeholders can make fast, evidence-based decisions throughout the full game lifecycle. At Krafton, AI is a core operating principle - not an occasional tool. We expect you to integrate AI into your daily workflow as naturally as SQL, and to actively push the boundaries of what a two-person analytics function can accomplish.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner closely with NA studios to define instrumentation requirements, event schemas, and KPIs that align with PPD's centralized SDK and data standards
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics tools - using AI-assisted BI and text-to-SQL tooling where it cuts time without sacrificing rigor
  • Translate raw telemetry data into clear analytical stories for non-technical stakeholders; use LLMs to accelerate synthesis, commentary generation, and report drafting
  • Serve as the primary analytics liaison between NA studios and the Korea-based PPD central team; facilitate data alignment, review sessions, and reporting cadences across time zones
  • Evaluate and validate SDK integration quality - working with studio engineers to ensure correct event logging, data completeness, and schema consistency
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on game health, feature performance, A/B test results, and live ops events; automate recurring analyses using AI pipelines where possible
  • Build lightweight AI-assisted tooling where it removes friction - metric summary bots, automated anomaly commentary, LLM-generated data documentation, and similar
  • Contribute to roadmap discussions for PPD's central analytics platform, advocating for NA studio needs while ensuring alignment with global standards

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years in data analytics, with 3+ years in the games industry
  • Deep experience with event-based telemetry and game data pipelines
  • Advanced SQL; proficiency in Python or R for analysis and automation
  • Familiarity with live service game metrics (DAU, D1/D7/D30 retention, ARPU, LTV, session depth)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in leveraging them for code generation, insight synthesis, documentation, and workflow automation in an analytics context.
  • Ability to write effective prompts and evaluate AI output critically - knowing when to trust, iterate, or reject generated results
  • Track record of owning end-to-end analytics from instrumentation spec to stakeholder reporting
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working across multiple studios or product teams simultaneously

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Korean language proficiency (business level strongly preferred)
  • Prior experience collaborating with Korean or other Asia-Pacific organizations
  • Experience building AI-powered internal tools - metric bots, LLM pipelines for automated reporting, AI-assisted anomaly detection
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a shared data SDK or central instrumentation library
  • Background in publishing analytics - UA, platform performance, regional launch metrics
  • Familiarity with data governance, schema registries, or data contracts
