FrameShift is a Roblox game studio based in Miami. We started in 2024 with a simple goal: make games on Roblox that are actually worth playing. We're a small team — which means the people we bring in have a real say in what we build and how we build it.
About this roleYou'd be figuring out what the game actually is — the loops, the systems, how progression works, what keeps people coming back. You'd write the specs that programmers build from and stay involved until it ships right.
You Will- Define and document core gameplay loops, progression systems, and economy structures
- Write design specifications that engineers can build from without needing constant hand-holding
- Collaborate with Engineering and Art to validate that implemented features match design intent
- Iterate on mechanics based on playtesting feedback and live game data
- Maintain a central design reference document for the current game in development
- Experience designing systems for live or shipped games
- Can write a clear design doc that programmers can actually use
- Some feel for economy design, progression, or both
- Comfortable working in Notion, Linear, or comparable project management tools
- Roblox experience is a plus — you should at least understand the platform
