Project Intern Fall 2026 (Part-Time)

We are seeking a part-time Project Intern to join our Atlanta team for the Fall 2026 semester. This opportunity is designed for students who want to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while continuing their academic studies. B&D leads the planning, development, and management of the places that shape and strengthen our communities. Interns at B&D are active contributors to real client engagementsnot observersworking alongside experienced advisors on projects at the intersection of real estate, planning, finance, and strategy.

The Opportunity

As a Project Intern, you will play a dynamic role on project teams by supporting research, data analytics, synthesis, and project delivery across a range of client engagements. You'll collaborate closely with experienced professionals and contribute meaningfully to real-world projects while developing the analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills essential to advisory work.

How You'll Contribute
  • Perform data collection and analysis to support client engagements, including:
    • Market and industry research
    • Focus group facilitation and reporting
    • In-person and telephone interviews
    • Survey design and analysis
    • Space planning support
    • Financial modeling and quantitative analysis
    • Internet and secondary research
  • Synthesize and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights that equip clients to make effective decisions.

  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support critical thinking, analysis, and the development of recommendations.

  • Contribute to the firm's research and development efforts by identifying new analytical tools, strengthening existing models, and exploring improved ways of working.

What We're Looking For
  • Current undergraduate (junior or senior preferred) or graduate student pursuing a degree in real estate, urban planning, architecture, business, finance, construction management, economics, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • Directly related work or internship experience in real estate, urban planning, economic development, finance, or construction is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Resourceful in gathering, organizing, and evaluating data and information.
