Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Software Engineering in the Department of Software Engineering and Game Development with a preferred start date of January 1, 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
The Lecturer will teach and provide service in support of the department's teaching mission, including:
  • Teaching three first-year fundamental programming and computing systems courses per semester (approximately 120 students per course) in an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered manner
  • Delivering instruction across face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities, during daytime and evening hours, on both the Marietta and Kennesaw campuses
  • Participating in course and program development activities
  • Working collegially with faculty colleagues across the department
  • Providing student teaching and clinical supervision as needed
  • Advising students on academic and course planning

The appointment is for nine months, with the possibility of summer teaching. Teaching assignments are based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of an earned Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Computing or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid college-level courses
