Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Simulation Developer to join our team supporting a mission engineering modeling sim and analysis customer in Quantico, VA. Core Work:
Core work encompasses developing simulations comprised of weapon systems capabilities, event scenarios, adversarial models, environmental variables, and wargaming tests. These simulations will help the customer define studies that may lead to the acquisition of solutions to mission critical needs. Location: Quantico, VA (This is an on-site position) Responsibilities: โ€ข Design, develop, and sustain simulation models and environments using a variety of programming languages, tools, and data sourcesย  โ€ข Integrate simulations into larger system architectures and supports Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP) efforts for interoperability testingย  โ€ข Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to enhance model fidelity and ensure simulation accuracyย  โ€ข Implement new features, conduct model testing and validation, and troubleshoot issues across evolving simulation platformsย  โ€ข Lead and support planning, coordination, and documentation activities for simulation projects, including data collection, stakeholder alignment, and capability trackingย 
Minimum Qualifications:ย  โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical fieldย  โ€ข Minimum of 2-10 years of software development experience focused on simulation or game-based environmentsย  โ€ข Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Javaย  โ€ข Experience with simulation platforms or gaming engines such as AFSIM, Next Generation Threat Simulation (NGTS), Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arenaย  โ€ข Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflowsย 
Preferred Qualifications: ย  โ€ข Knowledge of modeling and simulation principles in military or operational contextsย  โ€ข Familiarity with the Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP) and military systemsย  โ€ข Knowledge of 3D graphics, physics engines, and database management systems (e.g., SQL)ย  โ€ข Experience applying Agile or Scrum development methodologies in simulation projectsย  โ€ข Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skillsย 
Clearance Requirements:ย  โ€ข Must possess a current/active DoD Secret Clearance (Preferred: DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI and SAP access)
Compensation: โ€ข $130,000 - $190,000ย (Based on years of relevant experience)
