Job description

At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, we know the best experiences start with a warm welcome. Whether you're arriving for a relaxing getaway or clocking in for your shift. Here, hospitality is personal, teamwork is real, and people genuinely look out for one another. When you join our team, you're stepping into a workplace where you can learn, grow, and take pride in creating memorable moments across the entire property. We bring energy, heart, and professionalism to everything we do, by building not only unforgettable guest experiences, but a workplace we're proud to call our own.

Be part of a team that's shaping one of the premier destinations for gaming and hospitality. A place where guests and team members alike feel right at home on Oregon's beautiful southern coast and beyond.

Why this job matters

This is lively dual position. Table Games Dealers are at the heart of the casino floor-you set the stage for excitement, fairness, and fun. Guests come for the games, but they stay for the experience you create. By keeping the action moving, welcoming players of all levels, and delivering service with personality and professionalism, you help transform every hand into a memorable moment. In short, you don't just deal the cards-you deal the fun. As a Pit Supervisor, you're the energy behind the action on the casino floor. You'll keep the games flowing, support your dealers, and ensure every guest enjoys a safe, fair, and exciting gaming experience. With your leadership and eye for detail, you'll balance operational integrity with world-class guest service-all while keeping the pit running smoothly.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Deal and supervise the action! Run table games confidently and efficiently while following all policies, procedures, and federal, state, and tribal regulations.
  • Keep the pace lively and the vibe fun-guests love a smooth game with plenty of excitement.
  • Deliver customer service that shines, making sure every guest feels like the most important person at the table.
  • Handle all game documentation and sign-offs with accuracy and care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism while protecting confidential and sensitive information.
  • Be a team player: represent yourself and the department with pride, and support payroll and operational integrity.
  • Stay sharp and in-the-know by attending required trainings and team meetings.
  • Promote our guest-first philosophy, turning every interaction into a winning experience.
  • Understand and demonstrate company and departmental philosophies and actively promote these in all interactions.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points
  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • GED or HS Diploma required.
  • Must have successfully dealt at a credible gaming establishment, be certified through a credible dealing school or pass a training program through Ko-Kwel Casino Resort.
  • Must pass an audition with representatives of the Tribal Gaming Commission and the Table Games department. Audition must be dealt using established policies and procedures of Ko-Kwel Casino Resort.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
Physical stuff to know

We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. If you need an accommodation to do the work, just let us know-we're here to support you.ย ย You'll need to be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when we are busy. During your shift, you'll be on your feet and bending for extended periods of time, frequently walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.ย ย This is a quick summary of the main duties and requirements-it might not cover everything you could be asked to do.

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe. Team members are eligible for a comprehensive health care benefit, generous time off policy, 401-K retirement with 4% company match and other benefits.
