This is 12 month remote contract position paid hourly, the rate is from $120-$150 an hour.
About the Team
Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.
As Senior Director, Marketing Analytics at Fanatics Betting & Gaming, you will lead the Marketing Analytics function, defining the vision, strategy, and operating model that enables data-driven decision-making across the Marketing organisation. Reporting into senior leadership, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner, shaping commercial strategy through insight, influencing executive decision-making, and ensuring analytics remains a competitive advantage for the business.
You will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering meaningful business insights, developing compelling executive narratives, and enabling marketing investment decisions across Acquisition and the broader Marketing organisation. Working closely with executive stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering, you will align analytics priorities with company objectives and ensure the organisation is equipped to make faster, better-informed decisions.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional commercial acumen with deep analytical expertise, a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, and the ability to influence at the executive level. They are equally comfortable defining long-term strategy, coaching leaders, and communicating complex ideas through clear, compelling business narratives.
Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and operating model for Marketing Analytics, ensuring alignment with company objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Marketing Analytics organisation, setting priorities, building capability, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the executive narrative for analytics initiatives, translating complex analytical findings into clear, compelling, and actionable insights that influence decision-making across executive forums.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping Acquisition strategy and marketing investment decisions through data-driven insights and commercial recommendations.
  • Establish and evolve the measurement framework for Marketing, including KPIs, experimentation, performance reporting, and scalable analytics capabilities that drive business outcomes.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and emerging analytics technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities, automate workflows, improve decision-making, and increase the impact and efficiency of the Marketing Analytics function.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering to align priorities, improve data capabilities, and solve complex business challenges.
  • Champion data quality, governance, and analytical excellence, ensuring the organisation has trusted data, robust measurement, and efficient reporting processes.
  • Drive a culture of data-informed decision-making, empowering stakeholders with the insights, tools, and context needed to maximise business performance.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Experience & Skills
  • 12+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline, including significant experience leading large, high-performing analytics organisations.
  • Demonstrated success influencing executive leadership and shaping business strategy through analytics.
  • Proven experience leading leaders and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, compelling recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of emerging AI technologies and their practical application within analytics, business intelligence, and decision support.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience balancing strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and business outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in marketing measurement, customer acquisition, experimentation, and performance optimisation.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency and experience working with modern cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Experience in sports betting & gaming industry is a strong advantage.
