Company Description The GAB Spot is a hospitality-focused venue dedicated to providing guests with a welcoming, energetic, and enjoyable environment. Located in Fort Walton Beach, FL, the establishment offers a variety of beverages and light fare, with an emphasis on friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. The team is committed to creating memorable experiences for guests through quality drinks, attentive service, and a clean, comfortable setting. The GAB Spot values reliability, professionalism, and teamwork, and seeks team members who take pride in delivering excellent guest experiences.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bartender role based at The GAB Spot in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking orders, and providing prompt, friendly service to guests at the bar and tables. Daily tasks include setting up and breaking down the bar, maintaining cleanliness and organization of bar areas, restocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with all safety and alcohol service regulations. The role also involves processing payments accurately, verifying guest identification, managing tabs, and handling cash and card transactions. Bartenders are expected to collaborate with other team members, assist with basic food service as needed, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members.
  • Candidates should possess Food & Beverage knowledge, including drink preparation basics and familiarity with common bar offerings.
  • Candidates should possess Bartending skills, such as mixing standard cocktails, pouring drinks accurately, and following responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Candidates should possess Cash Handling skills, including operating a POS system, managing tabs, and reconciling payments with accuracy.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a bar, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting; ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights; reliable attendance and time management; and adherence to local and state alcohol service laws.
