Supervises: Engineers 1, 2, and 3 and Engineering Supervisor (as filled)

What You'll DoLeadership & Team Management
  • Supervise the Engineering team, effectively share knowledge, and serve as a role model
  • Distribute daily work assignments and monitor progress and completion through the building automated system (BAS)
  • Lead regular daily and weekly departmental staff meetings
  • Assist with onboarding, coaching, training, and mentoring new employees
  • Support management and co-workers in maintaining a positive work environment
Administrative & Department Operations
  • Provide administrative support for the Engineering Department
  • Establish and maintain team schedules to provide adequate coverage during day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Adjust schedules as necessary to maintain appropriate department coverage
  • Maintain daily time records and approve bi-weekly timesheets using the Club's timekeeping management application
  • Schedule and approve personnel leave requests while maintaining adequate staffing levels
  • Attend or assign staff to attend weekly Residences Rooms Meetings
  • Support departmental budget accountability, operational efficiencies, work order management, and project coordination
Maintenance & Facilities
  • Plan, prioritize, and direct Engineering Department operational activities
  • Maintain and make general repairs to plumbing, plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, heating and ventilation systems, and building structures throughout the Club and Residences
  • Maintain and repair air conditioning systems, refrigerators, ice makers, and appliances as needed
  • Maintain swimming pools, spas, saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges, and associated systems, including pumps, filters, and chemical injection systems
  • Monitor and record pool and spa chemical levels daily
  • Conduct daily walk-through inspections of mechanical, heating, and cooling equipment and rooms to ensure continued operation
  • Establish and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and repairs for HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, motors, and other building systems
  • Direct the maintenance and inspection program for Residences Department rooms
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and complete required checklists and reports
Technical Knowledge & Operations
  • Apply advanced knowledge of various trades to identify maintenance and operational issues and make repairs to equipment and building systems
  • Apply facilities management principles, practices, and methods to support efficient department operations
  • Read and comprehend construction drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Maintain accurate professional and technical documentation
  • Manage and coordinate assigned staff, contractors, and projects supporting Snowmass Club facilities and departments
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and building system performance
  • Willingness to learn new skills and seek additional training as needed
Safety & Emergency Response
  • Maintain a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment throughout Club facilities and Residences
  • Follow established safety procedures and applicable regulations
  • Monitor building systems and equipment to help prevent operational issues
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations
  • Respond appropriately to facility and equipment emergencies as needed
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance trades, building systems, and facilities operations
  • Knowledge of facilities management principles, practices, and methods
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Strong professional and technical writing skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and operational needs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal or limited supervision
  • Ability to effectively lead, train, coach, and mentor Engineering team members
  • Willingness to learn new skills and participate in training as needed
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair work throughout Club and Residences facilities
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work in various positions
  • Ability to work around mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, pools, spas, and other facility systems
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
  • Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations as required
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including most holidays and at least one weekend day per week
