Job description

Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) paid media team is looking for a Principal Marketing Manager, Media Planning and Strategy. You'll lead paid media strategy for full-funnel campaigns that turn brand strength into measurable, attributable growth, shaping how Intuit reaches SMB and mid-market decision makers evaluating their financial management and marketing systems.

You'll own end-to-end media planning including budget allocation, channel mix, campaign architecture, and testing and measurement frameworks in partnership with Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Channel teams, and Data Science. Your planning philosophy pairs rigorous, iROI-driven performance discipline with a credible point of view on how upper-funnel brand investment shapes the demand environment for lower-funnel tactics, and you'll hold every channel including paid social, programmatic, CTV/video, audio, and search accountable to incremental ROI with data-backed rationale. You'll direct our media agency partners, setting the strategic agenda and driving executional excellence against commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual full-funnel paid media plans optimized quarterly across our SMB and mid-market segments, from budget allocation and channel mix through campaign execution and measurement

  • Lead media planning and buying across performance-first channels including Paid Social, SEM, and Programmatic Display, while maintaining a clear point of view on how upper-funnel investment (CTV, Video, Audio) creates the demand environment that performance channels convert

  • Author strategic media briefs that translate business objectives into actionable planning inputs including audience strategy, budget parameters, measurement frameworks, and learning agendas. Lead agency briefings that set clear expectations for strategic rigor and executional accountability

  • Synthesize MMM response curves, BLS results, historical performance, and seasonal efficiency patterns into defensible budget allocation recommendations

  • Drive scenario planning and budget optimization exercises with iROI, incremental bookings, and CPA as the north star metrics

  • Manage agency and vendor relationships at the strategic level (media plan review, performance governance, and structured feedback) holding partners accountable for strategic alignment and executional rigor while pushing them to bring forward new opportunities, not just execute against the existing playbook

  • Present media strategy, performance insights, and recommendations to marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Work with Data Science and Research Analytics teams to build learning and measurement frameworks that validate impact

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Brand, and Web to develop cross-channel testing opportunities including landing page, creative and messaging tests that drive portfolio-wide learnings

  • Extend strategic capabilities and validated learnings to across the portfolio to scale cross-product growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of paid media experience with meaningful ownership of large-scale, full-funnel B2B acquisition campaigns

  • Proven track record managing $20M+ annual paid media budgets across Programmatic Display, Paid Social, and SEM, with full accountability for channel efficiency and business outcomes

  • Experience planning across both upper and lower funnel media, understanding the role of each and how they behave differently

  • Experience managing budgets across large portfolios, understanding trade-offs between competing priorities

  • Skilled at writing media briefs that translate business objectives into actionable planning inputs that inform media strategy, budget parameters, learning agenda.

  • Ability to lead agency briefings that set clear expectations for strategic rigor and executional accountability

  • Working knowledge of advanced measurement methodologies - MMM, incrementality testing, media mix tests, geo holdouts, or causal lift studies - with the ability to translate findings into planning decisions

  • Experience managing agency relationships at a strategic level, including media plan review, performance governance, and structured feedback delivery

  • Comfortable using AI tools to streamline and advance operational and strategic ways of working, especially from the lens of media. Experience in Claude Code is a plus.
