But what does Funko do? 
Funko is a purveyor of pop culture and licensed-focused collectibles company. Funko currently holds thousands of lenses and the rights to create tens of thousands of characters – one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. Funko’s Pop! Vinyl is the number one stylized vinyl collectible on the market, selling millions of figures to fans around the world.
 
Our retail stores are an immersive journey through the Funko-verse that offer our fans an experience they will never forget! The Retail Store Associate is an integral part of creating an outstanding experience in a Funko retail store. An ambassador of the brand, our Store Associates are enthusiastic, motivated team players who are passionate about pop culture and assisting fans to guide and generate sales.
This is a SEASONAL role.  
 
What You’ll Do 
  • Provide fans with a unique shopping experience by ensuring excellent customer service 
  • Utilize effective selling techniques and provide in-depth product knowledge in a fast-paced, specialty retail environment 
  • Determine fan needs based on probing questions and suggest additional items based on getting to know the fans 
  • Build strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty 
  • Handle sales transactions at the register 
  • Replenish and organize/tidy-up merchandise 
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times 
 
What You’ll Bring 
  • 1+ years of retail and/or immersive event experience 
  • Track record of creating memorable and engaging customer experiences 
  • Excellent verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with fans, peers, and management 
  • Has a good understanding of Pop Culture and follows Pop Culture trends 
  • Consistently demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for the brand 
  • Open and flexible availability 
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and bend; may lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally 
 
Salary Information 
The base hourly for this position in the selected city is $18.42.​
